The lockers don’t require keys or combination codes to access the system. All doors of unused compartments are in unlocked mode and held shut by self-closers. The rear main door of the evidence lockers remain locked at all times except for the removal of evidence.
The property and evidence lockers and cabinets allow officers to log, process, and package their evidence, then deposit it into a secure pass-through locker. The pass-through lockers and cabinets allow officers to deposit and secure evidence with just the push of a button. Evidence room storage personnel are then able to retrieve deposited evidence or property inside the storage room without officers entering the storage area. And once the button has been pushed to lock the evidence, the locker cannot be reopened except by authorized personnel.
The lockers and cabinets come in a variety of sizes and configurations to store all types and sizes of evidence and property, including weapons, oversized packages, small envelopes, and even materials that need to be refrigerated.
