Benefits of Roof Turbine Ventilators
Create a Comfortable Working Area
Roof Turbine Ventilators aid businesses in creating a working area that is comfortable and promotes workers to be efficient and productive. The roof turbine ventilators can reduce building temperatures by up to 10% and as a result, reduce moisture and humidity within the building.
With improved air circulation, workers can continue putting their best foot forward with day-to-day operations in an enjoyable working environment. Another bonus is in the process of exhausting warm air, pollutants, allergens and odors, the air quality and air circulation will improve.
Durable
Our turbine ventilators are designed to withstand high winds and severe weather. They are an energy-efficient and wind-driven product that would be a valuable asset to any industrial facility. With lower energy costs and quiet operation, these durable products are built to last.
Wind-Driven Turbine Ventilators
Two types of roof turbine ventilators are available. The first type of roof wind turbine is completely wind-driven. This ventilator turbine is the most efficient and has no electrical or wiring costs. Although wind-driven turbine ventilators are most effective when there is a wind speed of at least 10 miles per hour, the roof turbines will still operate on calm days due to natural convection inside the building.
The wind-driven turbine ventilators are extremely low maintenance and have a 15-year extended warranty. Having been tested to endure hurricane-level sustained winds of 150 miles per hour, they meet the most stringent durability standards.
Wind-driven roof turbine ventilator specifications include the following:
- 12″ to 36″ diameter
- 36″ turbine weighs 40 lbs.
- Air movement based on wind speed:
- 3,305 cfm with 3.7 mph winds
- 5,720 cfm with 7.5 mph winds
- 7,331 cfm with 10 mph winds
Powered Turbine Ventilators
Powered roof turbines feature an electronic commutating (EC) motor that provides an optional power boost during periods of low wind. These ventilators spin freely under wind power or operate with electric power. The combination of wind or electric power guarantees reliable performance regardless of the weather conditions.
The turbine motor is located in the ventilator head; no motor or blades are located in the throat of the vent. Studies show throat obstructions significantly decrease the vent performance under wind load. The motor can activate by an optional switch or digital measures such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The powered turbine ventilators are highly energy efficient and come in three sizes. Combining Roof Wind Turbines with Industrial Fans
Roof wind turbines can be installed along with HVLS fans and directional fans for a complete facility ventilation system. The system effectively cools your facility through the following process:
- HVLS fans destratify the air within the facility.
- Roof turbines exhaust and replace hot, stale air with cool, fresh air.
- HVLS and directional fans distribute the cool air throughout the building.

Industrial Testimonials
“Working with Southwest Solutions including Matt, Susan, and especially Brad was great. They provide amazing customer service. Brad and the install team were especially great. Very professional, easy to work with, and did the work quickly and very well with very little input from us. If we need help with carousel storage moves, parts, or new equipment we will start with Southwest Solutions. ”
“The team at Southwest Solutions were nothing short of fantastic. First meeting with Craig, I received a customized design, in person, based on my office needs while still maintaining an efficient layout and being cost effective. Craig explained everything clearly, allowing me to understand that as modular mill-work, I would be able to move it if I ever changed offices, but without the added sales pressure to immediately make a decision. Once I had decided, I worked with Chris who assisted in picking out the finishes and scheduling the delivery and installation. The professionalism of Craig and Chris spoke volumes and I would highly recommend anyone looking to transform or fit-out an office to contact Southwest Solutions.”
“I want to let you know that we all really appreciated your team mentality, professionalism and dedication shown on this project. It was a pleasure working with you and your office and we look forward to many more. Please pass along my gratitude to everyone who worked on this project. Thanks! ”
“I just want to take a minute to let you know how good of a job your install crew did yesterday. They were quick, fast, courteous and very consensus during the install. They were awesome to say the least. Being in the service business ourselves, we know that you can never hear the words “Good Job” often enough. Please pass this along to your crew.”
